Default chipping vehicles

Chipping is a generic term that really applies to older vehicles.
My 96 VW has chips that can be changed but later newer vehicles have chips that need to be de-soldered and changed out. Beyond that, the newer vehicles can now be programmed through the OBD-II port that is used for diagnostics. A common unit for VW type engine management systems is referred to as a Q-loader. Using a Qloader you can reprogram the engine ECU with new programming to make it perform different or better.
I'm sure it will not be long after the Mahindras hit the market that there will be products to boost the engine performance of this vehicle.

Basically, with a diesel engine, if you give the engine more fuel and more air it will produce more power. That is what the programming does. Injected quantity and turbo boost pressure are what matters and thats what the chips or re-programming does..............J
