Pete, agreed. Extending the frame would help. The problem is the overhang, and the departure angle, which already is somewhat untenable, which drove the 45 degree 3' overhang. That allows for a trailer to be pulled, and also doesn't adversely affect departure angle.

To combat the lack of space, I'm thinking of a slightly different approach than a normal camper. The interior of the coach is mostly for sleeping and storage, with the hard slide out being used to hang a tent enclosure to make a 2nd room, which would be used for cooking and such. It owes much to the Australian caravan designs. If you did that, you might even be able to fit a shower and a composting toilet in that itty bitty bed. A scary thought, but the carrying capacity is there, for sure. Nida core and aluminum would allow this design to weigh in at about 550kg.

The height is all wrong on that drawing, I'm just dreaming.
